Taking Care of Business

Hey Y'all,

We're already gearing up to work on the next issue!  We want to expand our staff!   We are looking for more writers, photographers, models, etc.

What we need most, though, is a business manager.  This  might be a great fit for you if you're interested in Fashion, are business savvy, and think you can help us pull together some cash!  We want to get advertising from local businesses, and have a few fundraising events.  Shoot us an email {vantagemagazineUSC@gmail.com} if you're interested, and we will discuss the details.

Also, we don't want to say too much, but we're planning a little something at Le 901 in the near future...stay tuned!

FOOD COMA

One of the great things about putting this issue together is doing research.  In this case, research meant eating a delicious meal at Casa Cocina y Cantina downtown.  We HAD to so that we could write a review!  Highly recommend this place.

Just received some awesome news!  The Beehive in Manhattan Beach is letting us pull some fabulous pieces for our shoot.  We're especially excited about a couple of Elizabeth and James goodies.

Hello! Introducing the blog of Vantage Magazine!

Greetings!

Here at Vantage we've got our fingers crossed that this isn't the first you're hearing of us, but just in case: we are USC's first and only fashion, art, and lifestyle magazine...and we'll be in print soon!

The magazine is the wittle baby of Derrick Sun, Katie Durko, and Lena Kouyoumdjian.  We are currently working on the first issue.  The theme is Downtown Los Angeles, and we are working on a fashion spread that captures the essence, feeling, nitty gritty, experience, etc. of DTLA in 24 hours and 6 snapshots.  We're thrilled to be working with photographer Edwin Eversole anbd models Mia Fields and Thomas Wyatt.

Additionally, you may have seen us on campus taking USC Street Style photos.  We would love to photograph you!  Here's a little taste:

That's all for now!  Xx
